Realizing the immense commercial potential of the Information Technology industry, Amrit diversified into the areas of Internet, e-commerce, Digital Media and IT products and services that developed into NetGuru, Inc. - an Information Technology company specializing in Internet related products and services. Under Amrit's leadership, netGuru, Inc. (Trading symbol: NGRU) became a public company listed in the NASDAQ stock exchange in 1996. netGuru also launched a community portal netguruIndia.com, created for people of Indian origin worldwide, which has emerged as the community's favorite web destination for news, entertainment, travel, communication and other ecommerce services. The California Chamber of Commerce recognized Amrit as their Man of the Year in 1996, in recognition of his achievements.

With the success of Outsourcing IT & IT-Enabled services, Amrit has recently divested its Engineering Software division and the Public Shell. Amrit's main focus is on its fast growing outsourcing business.
