About the role

Currently, we are looking for a passionate Event Specialist to join our amazing Growth Team! As part of the Netguru Comms Team, the Events Specialist works directly with Growth department leadership, Business Development teams and Managers from Delivery teams to facilitate Netguru’s event strategy that is aligned with core initiatives of the company and key offerings.

⭐️ Key responsibilities:

  • Planning, organising and developing Netguru flagship events (Disruption Forum series),
  • Organising smaller events like Disruption Community, Hidden Heroes side-events, etc.
  • Planning and organising Netguru participation at trade shows, external events and conferences,
  • Co-organising events/webinars with partners.

Let us guide you through your future work. You will work in 2 areas:

📝 Research & Planning:

  • Plan and develop events calendar organized by Netguru;
  • Research trade shows, conferences, and industry events to find the most strategic events aligned with core initiatives of Netguru;
  • Develop event budget (total budget & budget for each event) together with the growth team leadership;
  • Research promotional opportunities, vendors, and marketing materials to develop ideas and implement promotions;
  • Maintain resource files of sites, hotels, meeting rooms, and associated vendors.

🏆 Execution:

  • Facilitate strategic, logistical and operational planning and management of events (including overall plans, detailed tasks lists, pre/post meetings, budget/expense tracking, shipping, printing, etc.);
  • Manage researching venues; booking event dates, room blocks, meeting space, and client dinners;
  • Manage invitations process, registering guests, guest lists;
  • Manage equipment and inventory needed for events;
  • Work with Comms & Brand teams to ensure all collateral and other communications accurately reflect the Netguru brand in both printed and online mediums;
  • Work closely with business development teams to ensure proper communication (deadlines, division of responsibilities), and ongoing feedback to adjust events to business teams needs;
  • Manage external resources: relationships and negotiation of terms and contracts with associations, facilities, vendors; administer processing of vendor invoices;
  • Develop internal skills in Growth & Sales teams to improve the outcome of events.

🚀 Requirements for the role

  • 3+ years’ experience working event planning/execution,
  • Proven negotiation and project management skills,
  • Strong budgeting experience,
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English C1),
  • Ability to manage complex events that involve senior leadership and cross several business and teams,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/events at one time, each with multiple components,
  • Excellent decision-making skills and being detail oriented,
  • Travel required up to 30% at times (will vary throughout the year),
  • Nice to have: experience with managing speakers & moderators.
