Tech Lead (Solution Architect)

Your responsibilities:

  • Consulting and designing medium- to large-scale systems;
  • Providing help with defining SLIs, SLOs and SLAs as well as monitoring them;
  • Making sure services scale so that they can handle the current and future demand;
  • Incident response and post-mortem analysis;
  • Supporting developer teams in meeting the service objectives;
  • Daily communication with other seniors and Tech Leads;
  • Close cooperation with Engineering Managers and Service Delivery Managers - we shape the way of Delivery in Netguru;
  • Educating and showcasing the reliability mindset;
  • Automating toils.

Ready to apply? First check if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in delivering web applications;
  • Analytic mindset, allowing to find the root causes of problems;
  • Proven track-record of working in the Linux/Unix environment;
  • Experience with virtualization (docker/rtk/podman) and container orchestration (k8s and its variations like eks, gke);
  • Track-record of running and maintaining large scalable architectures;
  • Knowledge of the SRE concepts: observability, reliability, embracing risk;
  • Experience in incident response and on-call duties;
  • Ability to code in at least one of the following languages: Ruby, Python, Node.js, Golang – at a level allowing the development of custom automation tools;
  • General knowledge of one of the mentioned languages allowing for simple debugging of application issues;
  • Some experience with public clouds, e.g. AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Polish (CEFR C1);
  • Ability to work independently.

It would be nice if you had:

    • Familiarity with IaaC tools, e.g. Terraform;
    • Experience with Prometheus;
    • Experience doing CI/CD with CircleCI and/or Jenkins;
    • Certificates from public cloud providers.
