It’s really happening! We’re excited at the prospect of inviting you to Netguru’s first ever iOS workshops.
This holiday season promises to be a very special one - for the very first time, we’re inviting iOS freaks who want to learn the secrets of PromiseKit to a series of Netguru workshops. What’s ahead of you? Two days spent acquiring new knowledge, polishing your coding skills, teamwork with our experienced iOS developers and lots of fun together!
Is this iOS workshop for me?
We realise that you may have different visions and expectations of our workshop, so let’s just run through everything from the very start. This workshop focuses on PromiseKit and will show you techniques that will come in handy when working with asynchronous aspects of iOS apps, such as future, promise or delay.
How do I apply?
All you need to do is sign up for our workshop newsletter. Once you’ve done so, you’ll receive an email with a preliminary task to solve. The deadline for the application is the 6th of December (Sunday) 11:59 pm (CET). After we check the solutions you submit, 15 lucky candidates will be invited to join us for our December weekend of coding.
Once you get the good news (congratulations!), check our minimum setup list and make sure you’re ready to go:
Macbook with OS X 10.10+
Homebrew and CocoaPods installed
an Apple ID
Is this only for the pros?
Professional iOS developers are very welcome to join our workshop but don’t worry if you haven’t worked as a mobile developer before - it’s not a requirement. What we care about more is that you know how to code and cooperate.
From a technical point of view, we expect you’re familiar with UIKit and Foundation. An understanding of object-oriented programming is highly recommended and will prove very helpful in solving the initial task.
This time we’ll be meeting at our Netguru HQ in Poznań on 12-13th of December, 2015. It doesn’t matter where you’re from in Poland - you’re all invited and we’ll let you know if your application has been accepted 2-3 days prior to the workshop. Please remember that the travel cost and accommodation is on you, but don’t worry about the lunch - we’ve got that covered!
Ask us anything - give us a shout at email@example.com for more information. Don’t be a stranger!
