Netguru’s R&D team developed an AI agent called Omega to support sales with automation, insights, and real-time guidance. It helps team members onboard to new opportunities, prepare for calls, suggest relevant features, and follow Sales Framework.

Netguru developed Omega, an internal AI agent designed to automate tasks, deliver insights, and guide reps through every stage of the sales process—in real time.

Built as an internal tool, Omega integrates seamlessly with Slack and Google Drive to help prepare proposals, organize project details, and stay aligned with Netguru’s Sales Framework. What began as a simple proof of concept quickly evolved into a daily-use tool—shaped by hands-on feedback and real-world needs.

Challenges

Scattered Tools, Manual Processes
Sales reps had to juggle tools like Slack, Google Drive, HubSpot, and Salesforce—making context hard to track and routine tasks slow and manual.

Inconsistent Use of Sales Framework
To improve deal qualification and structure, Netguru rolled out the Sales Framework (a structured process that guides teams through opportunity management). But without embedded, real-time support, adoption varied across the team.

Need for a Scalable AI Foundation
To be effective, the AI agent needed to handle complex workflows, connect with multiple data sources, and stay modular and easy to update.

Omega acts like a digital teammate, working alongside the sales team directly in Slack. It automates repetitive tasks, surfaces relevant insights, and nudges reps to follow best practices—right when they need it.

  • Finds and updates project files in Google Drive
  • Generates expert call agendas, feature lists, and meeting summaries
  • Analyzes BlueDot transcripts to suggest next steps
  • Tracks deal momentum and deadlines with real-time updates

Omega runs on a serverless, cloud-native infrastructure for maximum flexibility:

  • AWS Lambda handles core execution, ensuring scalability with minimal overhead
  • EC2 Step Functions considered for orchestrating more complex, multi-step processes

To boost contextual understanding and automate workflows, the team integrated:

  • Slack and Google Drive APIs for seamless cross-platform automation
  • Embedding models and vector search for pulling relevant data from conversations and documents

Omega follows Netguru’s CI/CD and DevOps standards, enabling rapid iteration and consistent performance

🚧 Still in Progress

Our AI agent is already helpful when it comes to onboarding to a new opportunity, preparing for calls, or suggesting relevant features. However, it doesn’t yet support effort estimation or referencing past projects—these require deeper integration with Salesforce and HubSpot, planned in the next development phase.
