Netguru has recently undergone a reorganization and downsizing effort, resulting in the reduction of approximately 150 employees and contractors.
This decision was made due to changes in the business landscape and the need to revamp the operations of the non-client-facing teams.
During a conference call I announced the layoffs and affected personnel were notified within a 15-minute timeframe. Each individual impacted by the decision was offered a meeting with their direct manager to discuss the situation and the support provided by the company, including an outplacement package.
To aid those affected, Netguru has put together a support package that includes
- allowance (dependent on contract type and tenure),
- extended medical insurance,
- access to mental health support options,
- prolonged access to company equipment.
