Protecting Consumers from Unfair Contractual Terms Using Natural Language Processing
- Netguru cooperated with CLARIN and the Wrocław Tech University to train an NLP model to automatically classify terms in legal agreements as abusive or valid.
- We created a dataset, experimented with ML models, and proved it’s possible to automatically protect the consumer from illegal clauses.
- The dataset used during the project was passed on to the client to serve as a benchmark for a future system.
