The client
A major global consulting group, specialising in transforming technology and data platforms for organisations worldwide, joined forces with Netguru on a platform for gathering data, built for an end client in the Middle East.
That client needed to collect, manage and deliver precise — sometimes sensitive — information at scale, on time, in an environment it fully controls. The subject was progress against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The challengeWhat the teams actually needed
The goal was an MVP built as quickly as possible, to show the platform could take the friction out of collecting this data at all.
Challenge 01A timeline measured in weeks
The window was short enough to rule out building everything from scratch, which is why the team went to a low-code platform.

Precision mattered, and so did keeping the data inside an environment the end client fully controls.

A senior product designer, two developers, a QA specialist and a project manager covered design through delivery.
What we did
Low-code, so two months was enough
Design ran first, then development picked up the initial designs and built against them, testing continuously.
The dashboard mapped out
A high-level outline of the dashboard’s architecture came first, alongside the user journeys through it.
Wireframes and a style guide
Wireframe views of the dashboard, plus a style guide setting out the design principles the build would follow.
Input, requests, monitoring
Developers set up the environment and added the dashboard functions: data input, requesting data from specific users, and monitoring what had been collected.
Tested as it went
Continuous testing throughout the build rather than a pass at the end, which is what made the sixty-day MVP hold together.
