Lisk is a blockchain application platform on a mission to take the difficulty out of blockchain development. It has spent over two years researching cryptography, developing consensus protocols and designing interfaces people can actually use.
The company’s goal is a software development kit that lets developers build decentralised applications in JavaScript.
Netguru was asked for a website supporting that vision and serving every key audience at once: developers, startups and large companies.
Developers, startups and enterprises want different things from the same pages.
One of the main goals was providing something easy to scale rather than a fixed set of pages.
Goals had to come from research into current performance rather than from assumption.

What we did
Research came first, in two phases: onsite workshops with the Lisk team, then expert review and analysis.
The workshop phase gathered knowledge about the company’s general environment and its key business insights, through a variety of exercises.
The expert review went deep into the research and collected data on current performance, which became the basis for the project’s goals.
With research finished and goals clear, wireframing set the structure the design system would have to serve.
A brand new modular design system was built, which is what allows the site to keep growing without being redesigned.
