Evvnt puts event promoters in front of the right audience through the global network of sites that list events. It serves over 120 countries, locally and internationally, across multiple industries.
As the business grew, so did the need for new features and an environment that could carry them.
The existing Ruby on Rails and Angular codebase was growing more complex, and maintaining it cost more each year.
The main application had to link quickly and smoothly to Lead Machine to attract more potential clients.
High code quality and broad test coverage were essential, with new features and upgrades still arriving quickly.
What we did
A team of three — a project manager, a Ruby on Rails developer and a QA specialist — focused on refactoring toward dependable code with consistent business logic, introducing tooling to monitor the process and hold quality.
Multiple changes and new code went into the Angular side of the application.
Better prioritisation and clear sprint planning kept the work aimed at what the business needed next.
Lead Machine was coded and connected to the application, which automated lead generation and opened up considerably more sales leads.
The number of code tests increased considerably, and the transparent, hands-on way of working — with regular client meetings — kept it consistent with Evvnt’s goals.
Client testimonial
We were positively surprised by Netguru. The handover was much simpler that we had thought it was going to be, and the expertise was much better than we had expected.
